sadly these were all during my freshman year. Since then I've been injured so I'm just trying to make my way back. Short-Term Running Goals: -Shin splints seem to be unavoidable but I'm hoping to be able to finish this year without having them turn into stressed fractures.
-I need to learn to be patient with building my mileage slowly. This may seem like a lame goal but this is my biggest problem. I wish I could just run!

-1 mile- 5:50 -2 mile-12:50 -5k-19:50 Long-Term Running Goals: One of these days I'm going to run a marathon and possibly an iron man... some day (: Personal: I'm a senior in high school and I love running mucho grande! XC is the bomb and Track.. well it's a way to pass time, and keep me in shape. I also love soccer, and I'm slightly obsessed with dancing. I have the best family ever, and great friends. I hope to graduate and go to SUU. I also love going to the lake, river, pool... anything that involves swimming. I like to hang out with friends and basically just keep busy. |

AM- 1.5mile warm up, 4x30sec intervals w/ 1min rest, 3x800's, 2x1000's, 1mile cool down. For some reason I was having the most difficult time breathing. I'm sure it made me stronger though. Coach Holt pushed me like no other on the last 2x1000's.

PM-Race 4 miles with warm up/ cool down 3 miles. I feel that I raced the best I have all year. I finally found out how I'm going to race this year. I just start out slow then slowly speed up the whole race. I didn't slow down or settle at all this whole race and it felt amazing. actually, it hurt really bad but it felt amazing after (: well worth it (: | Add Comment |

AM- We went to the state course and did a work out on it. 2 mile warm up, 8x200's w/2 min recovery, 2x4 min tempo w/2 min recovery, and 3 or 4 mile cool down. we just ran to wasatch to watch our team race (: it was a good run and it felt great. AM- 2 set Michigans, harts warm/ mile cool. I felt really strong and I've learned to offically tune out the pain of my ankle to the point where I don't even feel it anymore (:
PM-easy 3 with mile of striders && lifting. Striders are funn and Lifting is even more fun. It's been a good day.

PM- 7 over all. we ran the cedar invitational. This is my favorite course ever. I only got 11 seconds off my brothers time and next time I'm gonna beat him! (: It was over all a pretty good race. It's still really frusterating to not be scoring though so I gotta get back up there. | Add Comment |
