PRs-

1 mile- 5:42

2 mile- 12:56

5k- 19:52

sadly these were all during my freshman year. Since then I've been injured so I'm just trying to make my way back.

Short-Term Running Goals:

-Shin splints seem to be unavoidable but I'm hoping to be able to finish this year without having them turn into stressed fractures.

-I need to learn to be patient with building my mileage slowly. This may seem like a lame goal but this is my biggest problem. I wish I could just run!

Long-Term Running Goals:

One of these days I'm going to run a marathon and possibly an iron man... some day (:

Personal:

I'm a senior in high school and I love running mucho grande! XC is the bomb and Track.. well it's a way to pass time, and keep me in shape. I also love soccer, and I'm slightly obsessed with dancing. I have the best family ever, and great friends. I hope to graduate and go to SUU.  I also love going to the lake, river, pool... anything that involves swimming. I like to hang out with friends and basically just keep busy.

Really good run today! I ran with our girls team on the way there and we ran pretty slow so I ran with Josh and Matt on the way back. We ran freakin fast and it felt great! (: I got a runners high again!! woot! (: I ran without my IT band strap again and I didn't hurt at all. My shins didn't even hurt. I think we need to discuss how important it is to keep hydrated cause I keep having to get back from my runs really fast in order to get my car and pick up a dehydrated person. FREAKIN DRINK WATER!!!! Ess GOOODD! (:

AM-I ran 5 with Kaylee, and stoner today, and a mile of striders afterwards. It was a good run. I really need to ice stretch and roll though.

PM-easy 3 in the blazing heat... let's just say that it wasn't so easy. It was fun though. we all ran as a team and you can tell that we're all getting a lot closer. we have a few gaps that we need to close (not just physically but socially) then we'll be good. (:

7 miles of hills... I ran 4x1 minutes and 6x30 seconds. It was really hot but it didn't kill me, and what doesn't kill you makes you stronger. So consider me stronger (:

1.5 warm up, 2x1000, and 1.5 cool down. I felt pretty strong but the heat really is a problem for me. I wasn't dehydrated but I was getting chills and stuff which isn't a good idea. My ankle is getting a ton better and I can almost point it all the way again. There's hardly any swelling and I'm taking really good care of it. I'll be back 100% in no time. (:

ran 2 mile warm up, 1x800, and a harts cool down. t'was grand, but I can tell i'm not in shape anymore. I ran without my ankle taped and it felt fine. cupcakes are delish, and dehydration is for dummies. the end (:

AM-7 miles total. We ran a mile and a half warm up, 2x800, 2x400, 8x200, and a mile cool down. It was a really good run and I felt great. I found that my shins splints, ankle, and tendonitus don't usually hurt too bad while I'm running. (:

PM- easy 3. We ran as a team again. It felt really good and the wind was fun. We were going pretty darn slow though. I mean I love team runs and I know we need them in order to bond but we can definately afford to pick up the pace a bit.
